"That's My Hedge!"

I was up early as planned to listen to Moyles where as expected they did talk about ITV's coverage of the Everton V Liverpool game which in most ITV regions went to an ad break at completely the wrong time.

As for the result itself Dave was pleased as you'd expect although newsreader Dominic Byrne was adamant that Liverpool would go on to win the Premiership.

Much of today's show was spent talking about Twitter which Chris joined yesterday and how a comment made by Phillip Schofield just two days ago has ended up become a UK wide phenomenon.

It all started with this photo taken in the Schofe's back garden and the large black object just behind Phillip. Someone thought it was an overturned car resulting Phillip to exclaim "That's My Hedge!".
Chris being new to Twitter had no idea why he made that comment, getting Phillip to explain on his show yesterday.

Everyone was hoping that Phillip would mention his new catchphrase on today's edition of This Morning which he did and explained how the whole thing came about, to the point of having "That's My Hedge" t-shirts being made as seen here.

I wasn't too sure about Chris and the team saying that they should bring back flower expert Karl Wilde to This Morning, the dreadfully camp Yorkshireman who probably makes Alan Carr look like any other fella.

It was such a big deal for me that I even paused my Bug listening to Ken Bruce's Popmaster which normally stops me from seeing Fern and Phillip's introduction which is normally the best part of their show.

With regards to Ken Bruce, the Record Of The Week on his show and Janice Long's is Annie Lennox and her cover of "Shining Light" by Ash which is quite a good take.

They'll definitely be a band providing many memories of Westminster with either that song or the superb "Girl From Mars" which at an Undercroft night would normally get played after "The You And Me Song" by The Wannadies.

I seem to remember the latter being used as the theme tune to a rather bad drama shown on CBBC in the late 90s called "G-Force" which was orginally shown as part of Fully Booked.

Definitely the sort of tunes that most students really enjoy hearing.
