It's been a bit of an uncomfortable evening so far. I arrived at the library at 6pm only to find that the comedy meeting had been called off through an e-mail message sent just 10 minutes ago.
However I used my time in there wisely and got out Richard Dyer's book about entertainment, which will come in handy for my lit review.
In fact I've got a meeting with Ana tomorrow morning so I'm hoping I don't have to make any more drastic changes. Not that the changes I've had to make so far have been drastic, yet.
I then went up into radio where I was less productive, i.e. productive meaning dubbing stuff off of the iPlayer.
I chatted to Spike about a few things and spoke to Lottie about her time at Radio 1's jingle and branding department yesterday which I'm rather quietly envious about.
Seriously though, this is something I have wanted to do for four fucking years.
Then again it's not so bad that Potty got the opportunity as it could have been someone on the course who is less deserving of such a thing.
I won't say who though, as the last time I did, it opened up quite a
big trap door.
And it's more than one person of course.
In all honesty though I've been poor at speaking to the "big people" in radio at events like the SRAs, mainly because it's so loud in the venue you can't even hear what anyone's bloody well saying.
My overall view with regards to this area is that alcohol has been responsible for some of the crap that has ended up on not just radio but television as well, if you know where I'm coming from.
Anyway enough moaning.
The plan for tonight involves finishing off last night's spag bol (with fresh pasta of course), listening to PY on Solar Radio and then heading off to the Junction.
Provided anyone I know is there of course as a few people are making there way into Central for a Killers concert.
I know that fellow radio student Eric Whelan certainly won't be one of them judging by his comments on their latest album.
Surely they can't be that bad, even if Brandon Flowers is a bit of a knob.
To sum things up, I am both human and "denser".
