A Lesser Messy Monday

Tonight at the Undercroft wasn't as mental as last week but good fun all the same.

On my arrival Phil H was spinning a few chilled R&B tunes such as Mos Def, before Mattie Bennett took over with his usual blend of racous tunes.
Those also in attendance included Troy, Will, Jake, and JC, as well as Sophie, Rob, Mattie ID, and Jade.

Three years ago fellow radio student Jo Cave decided to dye her hair from blonde to a darker colour which I wasn't too sure about, and now Jade has made a similar change as seen in this photo below.

I don't think it's too bad although I hope she chooses to go back to blonde by the end of the year.
Some other photos of tonight's antics can be seen below;

Mattie and Phil at the DJ booth.

Troy, Will, J-Dawg and Sarah.

Another bottle shot (and don't go messing about with it on Photoshop!)

Sophie and Rob.

Lacey Bracey.

Bland and Jake getting in the swing of things, despite there
not actually being any country music playing.

Amongst the tunes being played tonight were "Teenage Kicks", "Blitzkrieg Bop", Kid Cudi, The Jacksons and a few rarities you don't hear often such as "Hash Pipe" by Weezer and "Creeping Up The Backstairs" by the Fratellis.

The highlight of tonight was the mash up of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" to the tune of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" which is probably the highlight of a compilation of Rick Astley mash ups lurking about online called "Rick Rawked".

Although I wasn't too tipsy, whenever I'm in the Undercroft on a Monday night I start craving to hear one of the musical stings from the ITV Chart Show in between the records, reminiscent of my habit of watching old episodes after returning from a drunk night out.

If it was to happen, the result would probably sound like this.

If everyone was pissed up enough it would go right over their heads and wouldn't be disruptive at all.

On a slightly lower note, no less than three people were thrown out for lighting up inside the bar itself.
The bouncers really didn't take kindly to what they were doing and it looked as if they wouldn't be welcome again.

I decided to head back when Matt and Jade decided to head off although this week I decided to take "The Krypton Factor" in a different way than normal by crawling under the bike posts instead of balancing on them.

Tomorrow will probably be rather empty throughout the day until tomorrow evening where there's a planned comedy meeting and hopefully a visit to the Juction.

I should really save all my booze consumption for that time of the week as it's pound a pint night (or pound per VK in my case) and it will definitely save a bit of cash judging by my more moderate drinking these days.
